The Bucks County Triathlon Club is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year! Founding, current and past members make this club something special and fun. Come out and celebrate with us at some of the club races! Many of the club races will have the big club tent for gathering, a changing tent, often have food to share, lots of camaraderie and cheering when you cross that finish line! We’re back in Washington Crossing park with a kids course as well. The race will take place near the camp sites in Washington Crossing park on the NJ side. Participants will complete in heats of 4 riders on the 2 mile loop consisting of fields, with sections of single track with a few features and a climb. The Kids course will be 1 mile exclusively on fields. You may ride the course up to 3 times to post your best time with the 4 best times competing in the championship heat for overall top 3 male & female. This was one of the most fun races in the series. You do not need to be an experienced Mountain biker to compete. New this year we will have a long course prelude. When we say long course, we mean just 5 miles. The course will touch more of the park heading back to the horse trails. The course will feature some fun tech stuff getting out to the horse trails with a fun fast gravel section coming back. another fun part of the prelude long course is that you get the ride almost the entire 2 mile course in reverse. Mountain Bike Rides led by Alex S for November 2023: Saturday, Nov 11th @ 9AM - Wissahickon (full loop with extra gravel part at start and finish), medium/hard difficulty, 2 hours. Meet at Bells Mill Road East Parking Lot (W Bells Mill Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19118) Sunday, Nov 19th @ 9AM - Neshaminy (full loop), medium difficulty, 1 hour. Meet at Neshaminy High School rear lot (2001 Old Lincoln Hwy, Langhorne, PA 19047) Saturday, Nov 25th @ 9AM - Nockamixon (full loop), easy/medium difficulty, 1.5 hours. Meet at Tower Road Parking (59, 1 Fink Dr, Ottsville, PA 18942). Sunday, Nov 26 @ 9AM - Wissahickon (full loop with extra gravel part at start and finish), medium/hard difficulty, 2 hours. Meet at Bells Mill Road East Parking Lot (W Bells Mill Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19118). Whiskey Mile event: - Friday, 11/24/23 @ 7pm -The Whiskey Mile(see link for details) Location: 38 Delaware Rim Dr, Yardley, PA US 19067 All participants must be members of BCTC or invited by the Molnar's or Anthony Accardo. We will have 2 categories as we did last year the traditional Whiskey or Tequila mile and the Whiskey Mile light. You are required to provide your own Whiskey or Tequila. No flavored Whiskeys allowed. Must be 80 proof. Head lamps will be required. The Whiskey mile is 4 - 2oz shots of 80 proof Whiskey or Tequila, one shot before each quarter mile lap. The Whiskey mile Light is 4 - 1oz shots of 80 proof Whiskey or Tequila, one shot before each quarter mile lap. Participants that do not have a designated driver are required to stay at the race site for 2 hours after the race. We will hold everyone who's driving keys to make sure everyone is OK to drive. There will be a camp fire, food & N/A beverages for after the race. The race will be chip timed Full Moon Trail run: - Monday, 11/27/23 @ 6:30p - Full Moon trail run will be a Holiday run with spiked hot chocolate from Anthony's house (15 Durham Boat Drive, Washington Crossing, Pa)...we will run for approx 1 hour ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ - Every Saturday at 730a is Washington Crossing trail run…approx 1 hour long trail run. Meet up just across the Washington Crossing bridge in the parking lot on the NJ side. Multiple groups, so all paces welcome --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Every Tuesday at 6p we join the Road Runners for McTuesday…a no-drop run ranging from 3.5 to 7 miles. We gather in the parking lot across the street from McCaffrey’s Supermarket, 635 Heacock Rd, Yardley, PA. ALL PACES WELCOME. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Every Thursday - we join the Road Runners at 6pm for Hills in Tyler…meet at Newtown Middle School parking lot.
